Estoy realizando una consulta utilizando hsqldb e hibernate. Tengo una orden de declaración: -HSQLDB Order By con varias columnas

Esto funciona bien en MySQL, pero no en mi código de prueba (utilizando hsqldb 2.2.6). Intenté concatenarlos juntos y funciona bien, pero esta es una consulta muy utilizada, por lo que me gustaría evitar cualquier operación innecesaria.

Probablemente, usted tiene una excepción "orden inválida por la expresión" porque especifica una columna en ORDER BY (en su caso, m.firstName y m.surname) que no son explícitamente devueltos en la cláusula SELECT. Algunas bases de datos, como SQL Server y MySQL no necesitan esto, pero otras como HSQLDB y DB2 no pueden hacer este ORDER BY sin los campos en SELECT también.
