Caracteres de control guardado en NSJSONSerialization

Question

Tengo este JSON http://www.progmic.com/ielts/retrive.php que necesito analizar. Cuando lo hago con NSJSONSerialization, obtengo el error "personaje de control en forma de Unescaped alrededor del personaje 1981".

necesito saber:

• ¿Qué diablos son los caracteres de control sin escape? ¿Hay una lista o algo?
• ¿Cómo me deshago de este error? ¿La forma más fácil?

que añade este método para eliminar los caracteres sin escape de la cadena recuperada:

Después está recibiendo la NSData, convierto a NSString, llame al método anterior para obtener una nueva cadena con caracteres de control quitan y convierta el NSString nuevo a NSData otra vez para el proceso adicional.

¿Qué estás haciendo antes de utilizar NSJSONSerialization? Verifique las codificaciones, tal vez el problema radique allí.

Lo intenté rápidamente y funcionó. La fuente JSON es válida. Esto es lo que me dieron cuando serializar la matriz de nuevo a JSON con la manivela de impresión bonita:
