equivalente hg de git revert

Question

Tengo un compromiso en un repositorio público. Me gustaría que este compromiso no esté allí (he trasladado ese trabajo a una sucursal), obviamente no quiero destruir el historial de la sucursal, básicamente hago una inversión de esa confirmación. En git esto es sólo git revert, pero no estoy usando git :)

hg backout

hg backout [OPCIÓN] ... [r] REV

efecto inverso del conjunto de cambios anterior

Commit the backed out changes as a new changeset. The new 
changeset is a child of the backed out changeset. 

If you backout a changeset other than the tip, a new head is 
created. This head will be the new tip and you should merge this 
backout changeset with another head.
