python & smtplib: ¿Es posible enviar correo a través de gmail usando oauth2?

Así que puedo iniciar sesión y enviar correos a través de gmail usando smtplib (usando el script a continuación), pero me preguntaba si usar oauth2 era una opción como imaplib? ¿Mantuvo esta línea intacta? 'consumer = oauth.Consumer ('anonymous', 'anonymous')' o ¿sustituyó los dos parámetros por su clave de consumidor real y secreto de consumidor? Si generó su token de usuario y secreto de usuario con xoauth.py, haga lo primero. De lo contrario, haz esto último. – Ryan

Este es el nuevo paseo por el uso de oauth2, parece que xoauth ha de ser declarado obsoleto, no tengo actualizar la URL para obtener el mayor archivo de la versión xoauth.py, en caso de que cualquiera todavía lo necesita, aunque parece que Google ha cambiado su API y este tutorial ya no es aplicable.

puede usar xoauth directamente o https://github.com/simplegeo/python-oauth2/ para comunicar realmente. Recomiendo este último, es más versátil.

@nomadicME parece que podría ser un error con 'oauth2' actualizó la respuesta para incluir un parche simple más el uso de xoauth directamente, que parece funcionar siempre. –
